Room Reservation Policy
- Check-in: 4:00 pm │ Check-out: Noon
- Rates are based on single/double occupancy including a $35 nightly service fee and excluding hotel occupancy taxes.
- All room rates include Aubergine’s Signature Breakfast.
- The hotel is 100% non-smoking.
- For most rates, one night’s room and tax is taken as a deposit at the time of booking. For prepaid, non-refundable rates, the total for the entire stay (room, tax, and service) is collected as a deposit.
- All major credit cards are accepted.
- Minimum lengths of stay may apply during some dates
- L’Auberge Carmel strives to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for all of its guests and in order to ensure this to our guests we enforce a strict noise policy at all times. Any adjustments made to any other guests’ room charges due to violation of this policy will be charged to the offending party. Rollaway beds and cribs may be available.
- Standard Cancellation Policy: Kindly note that the advance deposit amount for most rates is fully refundable up to 10 days prior to your reservation date. Should you need to cancel or modify your reservation after 10 days prior to your arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited.
- Prepaid-Nonrefundable Cancellation Policy: Kindly note that the pre-purchased non refundable rate will be fully non-refundable after booking. The deposit held will be the total amount plus tax.
- Dine at the Award-Winning, 1 Michelin Star Aubergine Restaurant. Reservations required. We recommend making these well in advance, open Wednesday to Sunday. Dog Policy
L’Auberge Carmel understands that dogs are often considered part of the family and for this reason we are happy to accommodate your dog request whenever possible. However, although Carmel is a dog friendly city, we only have a limited number of accommodations where we allow dogs to stay. If you do arrive with a dog without informing our staff ahead of time, we may not be able to accommodate you. Please inform our reservations department prior to your arrival if you plan to travel with your animal so that we may best serve your needs, we are happy to answer any questions.
- L’Auberge Carmel will permit no more than 2 dogs, weighing 25 pounds or less each, per room.
- L’Auberge Carmel has designated our Courtyard Kings as dog friendly rooms.
- Only rooms 27 (Deluxe Peek View Queen), 21 (Standard Courtyard King) and 9 (Premium Peek View King) are dog friendly rooms.
- Our dog fee is a one-time charge of $250 plus taxes per dog, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room.
- Your dog must be kept on a leash while on Hotel Property as well as off-property; the State of California has a Leash Law in effect.
- Your dog must be properly trained and pet waste must be disposed of properly Off-Property. Our Front Desk will be happy to inform you of the designated dog area.
- Your dog may not be left unattended while on Hotel Property. If you require a Pet-Sitter or Pet-Supplies please contact our Concierge at least seven (7) days prior to your arrival.
- Dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant, Salon or Wine Cellar.
- Please contact the Front Desk to arrange for Housekeeping Service of your Guest Room while your dog is not present.
- As the dog owner, you are responsible for any and all disturbances, property damages and/or personal injury caused by or resulting from your dog.
- Service dogs specifically trained to perform tasks may be exempt from these policies.
- All Dog Requests must be approved by the Hotel Manager.
- All Dog Owners must sign a Hotel Pet Policy.
- Please note we regretfully do not permit any other pets at L’Auberge Carmel.
Restaurant Reservation Policy
- Restaurant reservations require a credit card guarantee.
- Cancellation policy: 24 hours prior to reservation time for our dinner service; a longer cancellation policy may apply for special events and dinners (for example, holidays, cooking classes, and Redefining Flavor dinners; see event description for details). Cancellations made within 24 hours, or longer depending on the event reserved, of reservation time will result in a $185 cancellation fee per person cancelling. Due to our size, cancellations affect us significantly; therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.
- Dress Code: Smart Casual. Jackets for gentlemen are encouraged. Ties are optional. No t-shirts, shorts, or tennis shoes please.
- Discerning diners of all ages are welcome at Aubergine. We do respectfully request that diners of all ages abide by the dress code.
- We enjoy children that can appreciate a fine dining experience that can last several hours. We have a very small, intimate dining room with limited seating, so we reserve seating in the dining room for all guests who are going to enjoy the chef’s tasting menu.
- Main dining room seatings are not recommended for children younger than age 12. Altered menu options are available for dining while seated in the Salon.
- Due to the intimate nature of our restaurant, table seating is set for parties of 4 or less. Our Wine Cellar is available for parties of 6 to 10. Larger parties should contact our Event Coordinator at events@laubergecarmel.com or 831 622 5907.
Privacy Policy
L’Auberge Carmel collects personally identifiable information (name, e-mail address, etc.) and/or demographic data (zip code, gender, interests, etc.) that you submit when you:
- register for our services
- complete a survey
- register for a promotion, contest or sweepstakes
- send us an e-mail
We may use this information to process and maintain your account, to compile demographic statistics about our users, and to display information that matches your interests and profile to you. We may use the contact information you provide to contact you about your account and/or to send you necessary information directly related to the service(s) you have requested.
With your permission, we may use your contact information to inform you of new features and special programs from L’Auberge Carmel. We will not provide your contact information to unaffiliated third parties. As part of the registration process, you have the option to inform us that you do not wish to receive information about new features and any other special programs at L’Auberge Carmel.
