Our hotel was built as an apartment house in 1929 and is considered a historic resource for the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea. We have retained as much of the original design as possible to preserve the building’s history and charm with the direction and approval of the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The ground floor of the hotel consisting of walkways, the lobby, restaurant, and restrooms is fully accessible. However, our hotel does not have an elevator or fully accessible rooms. Other accommodations for guests requiring further assistance may be arranged through us.
